Master James Theros
Who am I and Why Should You Listen to Me?

My name is Master James Theros. I have been actively involved in the Martial Arts since 1976. I began my studies as a martial artist in the art of Shorin Ryu. I then moved to Shorei Goju Ryu and finally found my passion in 1983 when I began studying Sip Pal Gi Kung Fu and Tae Kwon Do.

I was also exposed to Hapkido, through my Tae Kwon Do practice, as all of our self-defense techniques were basic Hapkido techniques.

In 1998 I met Master Kenny Perez and began studying Wushu and Traditional Northern 5 Animals Shaolin.

In 2003 I began training with Grandmaster Bong Soo Han in Hapkido and was an affiliate school until his passing in early 2007. I am currently studying Hapkido with Grandmaster Yong Sung Lee.

I have traveled all across the globe in search of information regarding Korean Kung Fu and have met and spoken with many highly reputable sources and have trained extensively with these masters.

I've spent hundreds of hours and many thousands of dollars in travel and education learning about this art.

There is no one in America more qualified to present this information to you than I am. I have hours of footage of various Masters and students performing these forms, as well as Korean Literature to back up its validity.

I've gone through all the trouble of traveling and investigating so that you don't have to. I even visited Seoul, Korea in 2008 to train with 2 of the highest ranking masters in this art, which also allowed me to complete the first book about the art.

Now, you can get your hands on these DVD's that I have personally produced at my school in Indianapolis, Indiana.

You won't find these forms anywhere on the web and , if you did find them, they wouldn't be NEAR as good of quality as my DVD's.

I personally spent EASILY over a THOUSAND DOLLARS to learn each and every one of these forms. I had to literally BEG to get access to the information.

And you get to swoop in and (for all intents and purposes) STEAL these DVD's from me at a FRACTION of the price I paid to learn the information, and the additional expense of putting these DVD's together!!

You'd have to be INSANE not to want this information if you're a Korean Martial Artist!!!

Why Am I Making These DVD's Available to You?

During my extensive search, lasting now for over a decade, I found that there was absolutely nothing available in America on the art of Korean Kung Fu.

Since that was the case, I decided to begin sharing my findings with you, the general public, in an attempt to spread the art, as well as the historical background and to prove that it actually exists and that it does, in fact, draw its roots back to the Shaolin Temple and Traditional Northern Shaolin Kung Fu.

“Educational and informative, these DVD’s are exactly what I needed.. Master Theros has a unique way of teaching and really understands how to teach by video. I can’t recommend his DVD’s enough. An excellent investment for any Korean Style martial artist..”

What Exactly IS Korean Kung Fu?

Korean Kung Fu (sometimes referred to as Sip Pal Gi) is a style of Kung Fu that incorporates skills and basics from the arts of Northern Long Fist and Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu.

There are a core set of basics used within most schools, as well as a recognizable set of short, medium and long forms taught from white sash up through black sash.

Any practitioner of hard style Korean Martial Arts, such as Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do and even arts such as Kuk Sool Won will benefit by studying this rare (and often misunderstood) Martial Art.

Self Defense applications from these forms will help a Tae Kwon Do or Tang Soo Do practitioner better understand the applications of the techniques in their own forms, and will help to add a bit of additional grace and power to their movements.
